"אני מאוד מרוצה כי השגנו שלוש נקודות במשחק קשה", אמר מנואל פלגריני לאחר ה-1:3 של הסיטיזנס על ווסט ברומיץ' והוסיף: "זה אף פעם לא פשוט לשחק מול ווסט ברומיץ' בחוץ כי היא מגנה בצורה מאוד טובה".
לגבי התוצאה הסופית אמר המאמן: "להבקיע שלושה שערים בלי חלוצים זה לא קל. המאבק על האליפות לא מוכרע בדצמבר אז אני לא חושב כרגע על אף קבוצה אחרת".
הבלוז, שמחזיקים בפער של שלוש נקודות על התכולים, גברו 0:2 על ווסטהאם. "הדרך היחידה להפחית את חוסר הוודאות שקיימת בכדורגל היא לעשות את מה שאנחנו עושים, לשחק מאוד טוב", אמר ז'וזה מוריניו לאחר המשחק.
מוריניו שיבח את שחקניו על היציבות שהם מפגינים לאחרונה: "מאז המשחק מול ברנלי אנחנו שומרים על יציבות וההופעות שלנו אייכותיות. אני שמח כי הקבוצה שלי משחק טוב ואני אוהב את השחקנים שלי".

במשחק מסקרן נוסף ניצחה מנצ'סטר יונייטד 1:3 את ניוקאסל. וויין רוני התייחס למצב של קבוצתו בטבלה: "העונה עוד ארוכה. היו שנים שבהן השגנו בסופו של דבר את מוליכות הטבלה למרות פער גדול של נקודות והיו שנים שבהן איבדנו את ראשות הטבלה אף על פי שהחזקנו ביתרון רב על פני המקום השני".
