המחזור ה-14 בליגה האנגלית היה פורה במיוחד, עם 32 שערים בתשעה משחקים. באנגליה לא זוכרים מחזור פורה כל כך, לאו דווקא מבחינת כמות השערים, אלא מבחינת איכות השערים. אמש (רביעי) נכבשו כמה שערים מדהימים, אך עם כל הכבוד לאדן הזאר או פביאן דלף, את ההצגה כבש חלוץ ליברפול, לואיס סוארס.
חלוץ נבחרת אורוגוואי כיכב ב-1:5 על נוריץ' עם רביעייה ובישול, והפך לשחקן הראשון בפרמייר ליג שכובש לפחות שלושער מול אותה קבוצה שלוש פעמים ברציפות. לסוארס 13 שערים העונה והוא מוליך את טבלת הכובשים, כל זאת בתשעה משחקים בלבד, לאור העובדה שאת המשחקים הראשונים העונה הוא פספס בשל עונש ההרחקה שריצה.
החלוץ כבש שער מ-40 מטרים בבעיטה אדירה, הוסיף עוד אחד כשהקפיץ מעל שחקן ושלח פצצה לרשת וקינח בבעיטה חופשית מרהיבה לחיבורים. אם זה לא מספיק, את השער החמישי של המרסיסיידרס הוא בישל לראחים סטרלינג.
